I saw a bit of this, last year, but didn't get around to seeing the entire collaboration until now. The array of talent and creativity on display is mind-blowing. Visually, this is something to project on a large blank wall in a room during a Halloween party, looping it through the party's duration. (I like the old-school R&B style selection backing the clips, too.) Bravo to everyone involved!

This is very well put together, from the backgrounds and storytelling to the sound design.

cheers man :)

They were all enjoyable to watch. As for the best, my vote's a toss-up between #4 and #5.

This piece is reminiscent of Terry Gilliam's animated interludes in the Monty Python episodes. I can segments working well in between longer, live-action skits.

(I like your morphing face logo, too.)

<3 Yessssssssss. You win. That's what I was going for. He is a major influence of whacky absurdism as a creator.

(Thank you sir I appreciate it.)

I enjoyed the entries display and would gladly lend my voice to subsequent projects from any of the animators showcased.

My favorite was #10--the outcome took me completely by surprise and had me laughing aloud and applauding. Well played!

always great to hear reactions like that! thanks for voting

I like the aesthetic and smoothness of the animation. Its brevity made me wish the scene had gone into a chase with the thief being pursued by Keystone Kop security throughout the exhibit.

I've enjoyed this series' striking visuals and originality. The strangeness of this world has a logic of its own.

Well done with the animation, music choices and the unexpected twists in the story.

Thanks!

I agree with another reviewer's comment on the potential of this piece. There's solid storytelling--the classic "Hero's Journey"--and imaginative concepts well illustrated, like the special abilities conferred on someone through mystic ritual. Alpha's abilities stand out, especially. I wonder what else Omega has in his arsenal.

The critique of the animation has already been covered. My main issue is with the audio. It would have been better to have more actors playing the male characters rather than recording them all with your voice. You're fine playing the young hero, but variety of timbre and reading is missing from the other parts. Also, in your recording, there are a bunch of mouth noises accompanying consonants, little clicks suggesting a dry tongue and gums, that needed to be ferreted out and removed for a cleaner sound. I'd have loved to have been an actor in this project.

It definitely has the feel of that odd state of consciousness before one's eyes blink open. I had to smile at that snatch of music near the end, Brumel's 12-part "Gloria"--I sang one of the bass parts of that piece back in college.

I work freelance as an actor, photographer, graphic designer and occasional writer.
