"A Sword In Hand" is the third and final story in a trilogy by my sister, Leigh Ann Hussey (1961 - 2006), which was published in Fantasy Book Magazine in the 1980s. It continues with the adventures of two siblings trapped in sword bodies. The brother winds up in the hands of the town bully, while the sister befriends an old scholar who used to be a mighty warrior, and they conspire to defeat the bully and get her brother back.

Production has been a bittersweet experience. On the one hand, the writing is brilliant and a pleasure to narrate, showing so much potential. On the other, my sister died abruptly in a motorcycle accident, twelve years ago--on my birthday, no less. Who knows what other fantastic work could have come from her, if not for that?
